INTRODUCTION TO THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Every Nigerian (in need) deserves a chance to receive standard quality care by a Medical Rehabilitation Professional at an affordable/subsidised rate, especially considering the current state of our nation’s economy. For example, the parent of a cerebral palsy child needs some respite on his/her constant incessant bills for his/her child`s physiotherapy services.
 
The patient in need of an artificial limb needs a reasonable discount on his prosthesis; the patient with a hearing disability also needs access to the services of an audiologist at the local primary health centre in his/her neighbourhood. These patients also need to be integrated into the workplace and society at large, to create a more efficient workforce and physically-challenged-friendly working environment, thus integrating medical rehabilitation in universal health coverage for a better health care delivery in Nigeria.
 
Hence, the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria proudly presents International Conference of Medical Rehabilitation Professionals (ICMRP), Abuja, 2019.

    The Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Reg.) Board of Nigeria, (MRTB), hereby calls on intending/prospective participants to submit abstracts on papers relevant to the theme and sub-themes of this year’s International Conference of Medical Rehabilitation Professionals ICMRP, Abuja 2019.
    FORMAT FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
     
  • Title of paper.
  • Names of presenter and co-authors
  • Contact details of authors e.g. organization/institution, city, nationality for all authors, e-mail, telephone, mailing address of presenting author.
  • The abstract should contain no more than 250 words to include Background, Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusion.
  • There are provisions for both Abstract Presentation and Poster presentation submissions;
  • Abstracts for presentation should be submitted in A4 paper size in portrait form while poster presentation should be submitted in landscape form;
  • At the end of the abstract, authors should identify maximum of five (5) key words relevant to the study.
  • All abstracts should reach the contact below on or before 31st July, 2019
  • All members submitting abstracts must provide evidence of current practising licence.
  • Accepted abstracts will only be included in the programme suvennaire after payment of
    conference registration fee.
