Requirements for 1-Year License
- ₦20,000 for registrants with 10 years of experience
- ₦13,000 for those with less than 10 years of experience
- ₦15,000 for retirees
- ₦7,000 for subsidiary license
Earn the minimum CPD points
- 30 points for professional license
- 20 points for subsidiary license
Requirements for 2-Year License
- ₦30,000 for registrants with 10 years of experience
- ₦19,500 for those with less than 10 years of experience
- ₦22,500 for retirees
- ₦10,500 for subsidiary license
Earn the minimum CPD points across all 4 domains:
- Professional license (45 CPD points)
- 30 points for Practice domain (15 for theory and 15 for practical/hands-on)
- 5 points for Professionalism
- 5 points for Management/Leadership
- 5 points for Research
Subsidiary license (35 CPD points)
- 20 CPD for Practice domain (10 for theory and 10 for practical/hands-on)
- 5 points for Professionalism
- 5 points for Management/Leadership
- 5 points for Research
By meeting these requirements, you'll be eligible for the 2-year license and can enjoy the convenience of biennial renewals.

- You'll need to provide evidence of completing the required CPD points when submitting your renewal application. Failure to provide this evidence may result in your application being rejected or delayed.
Verification of CPDs and the Verification Process
- CPD acquired from MRTB recognized institutions/bodies will be accepted for license renewal. However, CPDs from unrecognized institutions/bodies will be verified including those done abroad or locally, to ensure they meet the Board's standards. This includes verifying the credibility of organizers and the content of training programs.
- Letters of admission for MSc and/or PhD must be accompanied with evidence that the course has been taken within the period CPD is expected to be done
- Plan your CPD activities carefully to ensure they meet the Board's requirements.
Fine for late payment and CPD
Any payment made after the deadline (31st of March) for license renewal will attract a fine of half the amount payable

Any payment made after the license renewal deadline shall attract the following penalty a penalties:
- One (1) year - 50% of the applicable license fee.
- Above two (2) years - Thirty Thousand Naira only (₦30,000)
- Less than five (5) years - Seventy five Thousand Naira only (₦75,000)
- Above five (5) years - One Hundred and Twenty Five Thousand Naira only (₦125,000)
CPD Non-Compliance Fine
Failure to complete the required CPD by the deadline of 31st March shall attract a penalty of Fifty Thousand Naira only (₦50,000), in addition to the requirement to complete and provide evidence of the outstanding CPD.
No Response After Submitting Documents for License Renewal? Don't Panic!
If you have submitted your license renewal application and have not received any feedback after three (3) weeks, please follow these steps:
Failure to complete the required CPD by the deadline of 31st March shall attract a penalty of Fifty Thousand Naira only (₦50,000), in addition to the requirement to complete and provide evidence of the outstanding CPD.
No Response After Submitting Documents for License Renewal? Don't Panic!
If you have submitted your license renewal application and have not received any feedback after three (3) weeks, please follow these steps:
- Check your spam or junk mail folder.
- If the renewed license is not in your spam or junk folder, resend your scanned documents to registration@mrtb.gov.ng. Ensure that all documents are clear, legible, and complete.
- Copy complaints@mrtb.gov.ng in the email so that we can track your application and provide timely feedback.
